Two things quietly decide how long a reinforced structure lasts: cover and placement. Cover blocks and rebar spacers hold the steel at the correct distance from the surface so it is fully protected by concrete, with thicknesses from 25 mm to 100 mm to match your specification. Chair spacers keep mesh and bar at the right height during the pour, binding wire fixes everything securely, and rebar safety caps protect your team from exposed ends. For corrosive or marine environments, galvanised (zinc-coated) reinforcement adds an extra layer of protection.
